Inception Meeting on Gender and Sexual Minorities Safety & Security

In response to growing safety and security threats facing LGBTQIA+ communities, ISHRAI convened queer organisations, human rights defenders, legal practitioners, and activists for a strategic inception meeting focused on collective resilience.

The convening examined the evolving threat landscape, shared experiences of risk and exclusion, and explored practical strategies for organisational and digital security, advocacy, and collaboration. It also laid the foundation for sustained capacity building and the establishment of an Emergency Response Fund to support urgent community safety needs.
